Volunteer With Us
SDBA takes the safety of our players very seriously. We require a copy of your police information check on file as long as you are working with our young members.
The ministry of Public Safety has implemented a new applicant-based online service (eCRC) using the BC Services Card as Electronic Identity Verification (EIV).
Please note, under this new system you will be required to download the BC Services Card app.
In the new eCRC system, an applicant’s identity is verified using their BC Services Card. If the applicant is using the BC Services Card to access the online service for first time, they will be directed to activate their card by video or in person through Service BC. Please note if applicants choose to activate their card in person, a mobile device is still required (iPhone, iPad, or Android).
Please go to this link: https://justice.gov.bc.ca/criminalrecordcheck
Near the bottom of the form you will be asked to enter the access code
This is: 3HJ32SXQ8D (please cut and paste this code to ensure that there are no errors).
Click Continue on Organization Information page.
If you do not have a BC Services Card app, you will need to set one up. If you already have it, continue.
The CRC will come automatically to SDBA.
There may be situations where the on-line CRC system doesn't support your application and a manual check will have to be done at your local police station.
Being a volunteer for South Delta Basketball Association helps us run the program. Without your help, we wouldn't be able to provide this program.
We are always looking for the following positions:
Board Members - please contact us to find out more
Special Event Helpers - Opening Day, Hoops 4 Hope, Awards Night
If you are able to give something back we would love to hear from you.
